TL;DR
Supply Chain Program Manager II (Aerospace & Defense): Managing program-level supply chain strategy, supplier performance, cost, technical requirements, and schedule execution for complex aerospace and defense programs with an accent on procurement, subcontractor coordination, risk mitigation, and proposal support. Focus on building supply chain management plans, leading sourcing and make-or-buy assessments, tracking EVM metrics, and developing corrective actions for cost and schedule variances.

Location: Plano, Texas, United States; office or hybrid environment. Travel of 25%–50% is required, including supplier visits and audits.

What you will do

  • Lead program-level supply chain strategy, planning, reporting, communication, and performance management for complex programs.
  • Supervise Supply Chain Project Coordinators and Supply Chain Program Managers I while providing daily guidance and oversight.
  • Develop sourcing, negotiation, teaming, make-or-buy, alternate-source, and supplier investment strategies.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, procurement, engineering, operations, program management, and business management teams.
  • Manage supply chain cost, technical, and schedule performance, including risks, recovery plans, budgets, and milestones.
  • Support proposals through supplier identification, source selection, technical evaluations, requirements development, BOEs, and preliminary supply chain management plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a technical or engineering emphasis and 9+ years of operations or related experience; relevant technical experience may substitute for the degree.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, advanced contract management, supply chain techniques, regulatory requirements, and cost and schedule analysis.
  • Experience across product lifecycle phases, including prototyping, development, qualification, certification, LRIP, FRP, and sustainment.
  • Experience with the Department of Defense and aerospace and defense sectors, including aircraft, electronics, software, and other high-tech commodities.
  • Working knowledge of EVMS, ERP/MRP systems, material sales forecasts, gate reviews, data analytics, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree, CPSM, PMP, ISM, or Defense Acquisition University certification.
  • Experience with DFSC, DPTC, FAR, FAA regulations, AS9100, cybersecurity requirements, Ivalua, CostPoint, or other ERP/MRP systems.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders across all organizational levels.
