Customer Service Representative

Location: Rancho Cordova, California, United States; onsite at a regional office supporting customer installations. Monday–Friday schedule with no weekend work.

Salary: $23–$25 per hour

What you will do

• Answer inbound calls and process customer orders received by phone, email, electronic systems, or in person.
• Research order progress, make outbound calls, and route inquiries to the appropriate departments.
• Edit and enter orders accurately in SAP, paying close attention to pricing and location.
• Collaborate with sales representatives, vendors, and internal resources to resolve customer needs.
• Use product knowledge and proactive sales techniques, including upselling and cross-selling, when appropriate.
• Review open-order reports, follow issues through to resolution, and escalate complex matters when needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma preferred, or at least three years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work in a drug-free workplace.
• Strong computer, communication, organization, multitasking, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team while managing priorities under time constraints.
• Ability to work effectively with people across different roles, personalities, and backgrounds.
• Safety, gas, and welding product knowledge is preferred.

Nice to have

• At least two years of customer service and inside sales experience in a similar industry.
• Experience with SAP, ERP systems, and Google Suite.
• Knowledge of safety, gas, and welding products.
