Corporate Controller (SaaS)

What you will do

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, financial statement preparation, reconciliations, journal entry review, and general ledger oversight.
• Own ASC 606 revenue recognition, contract accounting, deferred revenue, contract assets and liabilities, and sales commission accounting.
• Partner with the CFO on budgets, forecasts, variance analysis, management reporting, KPI dashboards, board reporting, and investor materials.
• Develop recurring SaaS metrics reporting, including ARR, MRR, NRR, GRR, CAC, CAC Payback, LTV, gross margin, and Rule of 40.
• Manage audit, tax provider, lender, investor, internal control, and compliance activities.
• Lead accounting process improvements, NetSuite and Maxio ownership, workflow automation, system enhancements, and offshore accounting resource development.

Requirements

• CPA certification required.
• 7+ years of accounting experience, including prior Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Manager experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Experience in a recurring revenue or SaaS environment.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Experience with NetSuite ERP.

• Experience with Maxio, formerly SaaSOptics or Chargify.
• Experience supporting venture-backed, private equity-backed, or growth-stage technology companies.
• Annual audit, lender reporting, FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and SaaS operating metrics experience.
