Automation Systems Engineer (MES)

Location: Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico; willing to travel up to 50% locally and internationally.

What you will do

• Design and lead the implementation of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
• Gather requirements, perform gap analysis, map processes, and develop functional specifications.
• Support MES solution architecture, detailed design, data management, integration, and storage initiatives.
• Deliver technical work throughout the MES solution development lifecycle and track scope, schedule, issues, and progress.
• Collaborate with plant personnel, IT teams, vendors, business leaders, process owners, and customers to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Help define MES strategy, standard hardware and software systems, and future customer solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, or equivalent experience.
• At least 7 years of IT experience, including at least 4 years in industrial software services.
• At least 4 years of experience designing or implementing MES applications.
• Experience with MES traceability and quality applications.
• Experience with one or more of Red Viking Argonaut, Inductive Automation Ignition, SAP, Oracle, Siemens, or Allen Bradley.
• Fluent English reading, writing, and speaking; willingness to travel up to 50% locally and internationally.
