Project Controls Technology Specialist

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Full-time regular position. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Salary: CAD 90,000–129,000 per year.

What you will do

• Modernize program and project controls using automated, data-driven tools for reporting, scheduling, cost, and risk management.
• Architect and maintain predictive project metrics, BI dashboards, and cloud-based collaboration portals.
• Align schedules, budgets, and change controls across multidisciplinary project teams and multiple Project Managers.
• Promote data literacy and technology adoption, including dashboard demonstrations and project controls presentations.
• Integrate Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or cloud scheduling data into Power BI or Tableau for portfolio analysis.
• Forecast and report cost expenditures and cash flow trends while streamlining payment application and invoice validation workflows.

Requirements

• 2+ years of progressive project controls experience in engineering, construction, or capital projects.
• Experience across advanced planning, parametric estimating, forecasting, CPM scheduling, and EVM cost control.
• Practical experience building automated data pipelines and ETL processes with Power Query and Power Automate.
• Understanding of AACE International or PMI project control frameworks, relational data management, process mapping, and quantitative analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, data/information technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Tableau, Asite, Kahua, Autodesk Forma, QuickBase, Aurigo, or Microsoft BI tools.
• Power BI Data Analyst (PL-300), PSP, CCP, PMP, or PMI-SP certification or active pursuit.
• Exposure to PMIS, low-code tools, and BI platforms.
