Maintenance Technician - Automation (APU 2-A)

Location: Onsite in Buffalo Grove, Illinois, United States; 12-hour rotating day shift from 6 AM to 6 PM. Employment requires eligibility to work in the United States.

Salary: $25.00–$40.00 USD per hour

What you will do

• Monitor, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain assembly, subassembly, printing, and packaging equipment.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic malfunctions and restore equipment to operation.
• Repair and maintain electrical controls, PLC-related systems, robot arms, motors, encoders, boards, and other control components.
• Perform and document preventive maintenance, inspections, TPM activities, and corrective actions in accordance with cGMP and safety procedures.
• Respond to machine alarms, perform root cause analysis, and adjust equipment for production operations.
• Record and manage maintenance work orders in SAP and coordinate repairs with the Maintenance Leader and technical support.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in a technical, hands-on position.
• Experience with complex assembly automation.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, PLC programming, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 pounds, push and pull items, climb ladders, and stand or walk throughout the shift.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Office and SAP experience.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts.
• Mechanical aptitude, basic hand-tool skills, strong hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity.
