Manufacturing Engineer (AI)

Location: Gardena, California, United States; onsite five days a week. This position is not remote and does not offer relocation.

Salary: $77,264–$115,896 per year.

What you will do

• Develop detailed manufacturing plans, process requirements, and operating instructions for parts and assemblies.
• Select and design tooling, fixtures, gauges, and accurate optical inspection processes such as 3D scanning.
• Lead production quality investigations and improvements using GR&R, SPC, and Cpk analysis.
• Support new product development, manufacturability reviews, overhaul parts inspection, and remanufacturing plans.
• Implement automation and artificial intelligence tools for manufacturing process and quality improvement.
• Define capital equipment requirements, procure machinery, and support MES implementation, production tracking, and reporting.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or at least 5 years of machinist experience in lieu of a degree.
• Strong communication, collaboration, initiative, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to support production schedules and work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work onsite in Gardena, California, five days per week; relocation is not offered.

Nice to have

• Experience manufacturing precision components, including turning, milling, and grinding.
• Six Sigma and Lean training with related project experience.
• Experience with CMM, NDT, solid modeling, CNC machine control, precision machining, and CNC programming.
• Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems.
