Chief of Staff (AI)

Location: San Francisco, United States; on-site

Compensation: $180,000–$230,000 per year plus equity

What you will do

• Drive strategic special projects end to end, from problem framing through execution.
• Structure ambiguous, undefined problems and partner with the CEO on prioritization and trade-offs.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives across engineering, go-to-market, finance, and people teams.
• Coordinate with the CTO, COO, and broader executive team while tracking ownership and follow-through.
• Own leadership planning sessions, meetings, all-hands preparation, and priority tracking.
• Prepare board and investor decks and memos, synthesizing company-wide input for the CEO.

Requirements

• Work on-site in San Francisco.
• Ability to operate as a strategic thought partner and cross-functional operator for the CEO and executive team.
• Experience driving initiatives from problem definition through execution.
• Ability to bring structure to ambiguous problems and ensure follow-through across teams.
• Strong judgment, prioritization, and executive communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in a founder's office or a chief-of-staff-adjacent role at a high-growth startup.
• Strategy consulting experience followed by an operating role.
• Previous founder experience.
• Ability to quickly learn internal tools such as Ashby, Slack, and Google Workspace.
