Talent Relations Manager (Animation)

Location: Full-time on-site at the Gastown studio in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

What you will do

• Serve as the primary point of contact and advocate for artists across active animation series.
• Partner with animation supervisors, art directors, and production managers on performance check-ins and formal reviews.
• Track artist contract milestones, manage renewals, and coordinate transitions between projects.
• Lead culture orientations for incoming artists and conduct exit interviews.
• Mediate interpersonal issues between creative staff and management with neutral, empathetic solutions.
• Collaborate with leadership on studio events, employee engagement, and morale initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience in talent relations, artist management, or human resources within CG animation, VFX, or video game production.
• Valid Canadian work permit or Canadian citizenship/permanent residency required.
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Gastown, Vancouver, BC.
• Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including discretion when handling sensitive crew issues.
• Strong conflict mediation skills and the ability to navigate high-pressure production deadlines and creative differences.
• Deep understanding of animation pipeline roles, including asset design, storyboarding, animation, and lighting.
