Laboratory Technician (Environment Testing)

Location: Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA; onsite laboratory work

Salary: $17.75/hour

What you will do

• Perform routine laboratory cleaning, housekeeping, and organization.
• Support preparation, extraction, reagent, and spike activities using approved scientific methods.
• Wash, inventory, and prepare laboratory glassware and specialized equipment, including equipment for shipment.
• Dispose of chemical waste according to approved procedures and maintain laboratory safety standards.
• Enter data accurately into LIMS and keep training documentation current.
• Complete scheduled QC samples and assist other laboratory areas as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Computer skills and the ability to work with Microsoft Office.
• Professional working proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
• Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work with chemicals, laboratory glassware, and specialized equipment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.

Nice to have

• Previous laboratory experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience collaborating on team productivity goals and working independently with minimal oversight.
