A&P Mechanic II - Deployable (Aerospace)

Location: Clovis, NM, United States; onsite role with the ability to deploy for a minimum of 90 days to various OCONUS operating locations.

What you will do

• Perform basic aircraft repairs, component replacement, and preventive maintenance.
• Inspect mechanical and functional aircraft components and test replacement parts.
• Use tools and equipment to diagnose defective or faulty parts.
• Interpret technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and publications.
• Maintain safe and clean hangar or workshop conditions and ensure work complies with applicable standards.
• Deploy to international operating locations for a minimum of 90 days when required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and typically 2 or more years of relevant experience; related experience or a higher degree may substitute.
• Active, current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification with no prior FAA violations.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Successful completion of written, oral, practical, and pre-deployment medical assessments.
• Current, valid passport and ability to obtain a visa for international travel.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
• Reliable transportation to and from work locations.

Nice to have

• FAA repair station or quality assurance experience.
• Availability for regular travel, different shifts, overtime, and weekends.
• Familiarity with FAR and DFARS.
• Experience in aerospace and defense, the U.S. Department of Defense, or the U.S. Military.
