What you will do
- Perform advanced inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, modifications, disassembly, reassembly, and adjustments of aircraft and engine systems.
- Inspect and test hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, and electrical systems for leaks, blockages, and malfunctions.
- Diagnose electrical and avionics faults using multimeters, oscilloscopes, schematic diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance and corrective repairs in a high-tempo operational or depot environment.
- Repair or replace structural components and coordinate complex repairs with avionics, structural, and other trades.
- Maintain compliance with engineering instructions, technical specifications, FAA regulations, and safety requirements.
Requirements
- 10 years of relevant aircraft structural maintenance experience on fixed- or rotary-wing commercial, government, or DoD aircraft.
- 5+ years of depot-level maintenance experience with relevant aircraft systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience supporting DoD contracts and strong knowledge of depot-level maintenance concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical documentation, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to use breathing equipment and safely handle aerospace materials and hazardous waste.
Nice to have
- Previous Air Force Specialty Code 2A773 experience.
- FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant certification.
- Advanced software application experience.
