NSA - Aircraft Mechanic II

What you will do

• Perform maintenance, inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting on aircraft airframe, powerplant, mechanical, electrical, and structural systems.
• Maintain aircraft documentation in accordance with quality assurance and regulatory requirements.
• Use and train others on diagnostic devices, computers, hand tools, and mechanical tools; maintain tool control and conduct FOD walks.
• Support aircraft operations at military bases and FBOs, including passenger and cargo loading, fueling oversight, lavatory servicing, and aircraft security.
• Conduct daily and transit checks and perform aircraft maintenance within assigned capabilities.
• When assigned as a Crew Safety Specialist, manage cabin safety briefings, passenger accountability, baggage and cargo handling, and emergency evacuation responsibilities.

Requirements

• FAA Airplane and/or Powerplant certification.
• At least 4 years of aircraft maintenance experience on 737 Classic aircraft.
• U.S. citizenship and a valid U.S. passport are required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy Q clearance.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
• Ability to climb aircraft, remain on foot throughout the workday, walk up to 2 miles per day, and lift up to 25 pounds overhead.

Nice to have

• QC/QA experience.
• Working knowledge of advanced software applications.
