Senior Transit Systems Project Manager (Rail Systems)

Location: Los Angeles, California, United States; hirify.global LA office

Salary: $180,000–$244,000 annually, depending on skills, experience, education, and geographic location.

What you will do

• Manage transit systems projects and lead planning and design teams across the full project lifecycle.
• Coordinate rail systems planning and design, including plans, specifications, estimates, and construction support.
• Lead the design development and integration of traction power, train control, communications, SCADA, corrosion control, fare collection, passenger information, and security systems.
• Coordinate systems interfaces with track, civil, and facilities disciplines, specialty subcontractors, partners, and contractors.
• Manage project staffing, workload, budgets, schedules, financial reviews, deliverables, and QA/QC procedures.
• Maintain client relationships, participate in Los Angeles client development and marketing activities, and mentor project managers and technical staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of related railway systems experience, including at least 5 years of project management experience.
• Experience with communications, train control, interface management, and systems integration design and implementation.
• Experience with commuter and freight rail, electrification systems, heavy rail, light rail, streetcar, or electrified bus operations.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, estimating and scheduling software, project management software, and CADD tools.
• Excellent organizational, written, verbal, project management, and stakeholder communication skills.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience completing designs individually and leading design management or design-build partnerships.
