Senior Project Manager - Systems (Rail Transit)

Location: New York, United States — 32 Old Slip; full-time, office-based role

Base compensation: $153,900–$225,900 annually

What you will do

• Manage teams delivering systems engineering design and construction services for rail and transit projects.
• Coordinate systems involving traction power, signaling and train control, SCADA, substations, communications, CCTV, security, fire protection, and computer systems.
• Assist with design drawings, specifications, reports, plans, and estimates.
• Review design-team and contractor deliverables for accuracy and compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
• Coordinate systems interfaces across disciplines, schedules, field work, testing, commissioning, and startup activities.
• Assume Resident Engineer responsibilities on construction projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related field.
• 10+ years of systems engineering management and integration experience on large infrastructure or transit projects.
• Expert knowledge of traction power and signaling systems, plus communications and central control facilities.
• Familiarity with rail transit standards, practices, regulations, railroading, vehicles, signaling, and communications technology.
• Understanding of construction means and methods and experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Client-focused approach, integrity, innovation, collaboration, and leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Subcontract management experience.
• Design or construction management experience with traction power substations, rail maintenance and storage facilities, PDS, CBTC, SCADA, APM OS, signals, train control, or communications systems.
