Associate Chemist - Environment Testing - LC/MS - 2nd Shift M-F (LC/MS)

Location: Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA; onsite, 2nd shift Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM. Training runs Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM.

Salary: USD 18–20.90 per hour, plus a 10% shift differential.

What you will do

• Prepare and analyze samples from various matrices using routine analytical methods.
• Prepare samples and quality-control materials for testing.
• Review, process, and assemble supporting data for completed laboratory work.
• Prepare standard solutions and reagents and perform basic equipment maintenance.
• Follow EPA, client, agency, and internal laboratory SOPs.
• Handle chemical waste and all laboratory activities safely and efficiently.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may substitute.
• Professional working proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking, is required.
• Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship is required.
• Knowledge of analytical chemistry and experience with laboratory instrumentation are relevant to the role.
• Ability to work the Monday–Friday second shift and complete the initial morning training schedule.

Nice to have

• Previous laboratory experience.
• Experience with LC/MS or GC/MS instrumentation.
• Environmental science coursework or experience.
