Laboratory Analyst, 2nd Shift

Location: Barberton, Ohio, USA; onsite at the Barberton laboratory

Pay: $22.00–$24.00 per hour, based on experience

What you will do

• Prepare, aliquot, weigh, and analyze environmental samples using standard laboratory techniques.
• Become trained and competent on complex instrumentation, including gas chromatography, gas chromatography/mass spectrometry, atomic absorption, and ICP systems.
• Work under close supervision and follow routine methods, company programs, and standard operating procedures.
• Apply GMP and GLP practices, maintain accurate records, and report data and unusual test occurrences to the supervisor.
• Maintain housekeeping and conduct laboratory activities safely and efficiently.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of laboratory exposure or experience.
• BS or BA in chemistry or a related field preferred.
• Experience with sample preparation, chemical analysis, calculations, and data recording or reporting.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship is required.
• Professional working proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking, is required.
• Problem-solving, time-management, organization, and teamwork skills.
