Laboratory Technician, 2nd Shift

Location: Tinley Park, Illinois, USA; onsite, Sunday–Thursday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM, with overtime as needed

Salary: $18.00–$20.00 per hour, based on experience

What you will do

• Prepare and analyze environmental samples using standard analytical techniques and approved operating procedures.
• Aliquot and weigh samples, wash glassware, and maintain a clean work area.
• Train on and operate complex laboratory instrumentation, including gas chromatography, gas chromatography/mass spectrometry, atomic absorption, and ICP systems.
• Apply GMP/GLP practices and complete testing safely, efficiently, and accurately.
• Calculate, record, and report analytical data and unusual test occurrences to the supervisor.
• Meet attendance, punctuality, deadline, and housekeeping expectations under close supervision.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of laboratory exposure or experience.
• BS or BA in chemistry or a related field preferred.
• Experience preparing samples and performing chemical analysis using standard techniques.
• Problem-solving, time-management, organization, and data-recording skills.
• Professional working proficiency in English is required for reading, writing, and speaking.
• Must be authorized to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.
