TL;DR

Location: Frederick, Maryland, United States

Salary: $91,500–$148,100 per year; target range across U.S. locations.

What you will do

  • Develop and integrate ROS2-based autonomy software.
  • Support software architecture, motion planning, computer vision, sensor processing, graphical interfaces, and inter-process messaging.
  • Develop application components autonomously and deliver both small and large portions of the overall system.
  • Perform engineering calculations, investigations, software development, hardware selection, and system design.
  • Write requirements and design documentation and develop unit and regression tests.
  • Support engineering programs, suppliers, supervisors, and other departments, including travel to off-site locations when necessary.

Requirements

  • Produce high-quality, maintainable C++ code.
  • Proficiency in ROS2-based software development within complex applications.
  • Familiarity with Ubuntu 22.04 or later and distributed systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field and at least five years of related experience.
  • Regular attendance and the ability to work routine shift hours are required.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience contributing to real-world autonomy projects.
