Embedded Software Engineer (IoT)

Location: Oshkosh, Wisconsin, United States; hybrid work with onsite presence required at least 3 days per week

Salary: $62,800–$100,800 annually, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications for embedded platforms used in boats.
• Develop applications in C/C++ and Python that interface with CAN-based modules, handheld smart devices, and cloud services.
• Write code for Bluetooth Low Energy, Wi-Fi, and cellular communications.
• Support software design for cloud interfaces and participate in software development cycles.
• Use Code Composer Studio, SVN, Git, and DevOps development practices.
• Apply coding standards, development best practices, and unit testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical/Computer Engineering.
• Previous internship or co-op experience in embedded systems.
• Ability to work in and around watercraft.
• Knowledge of C/C++ and Python.
• Understanding of embedded Linux, RTOS, and SocketCAN.
• Familiarity with networking and communication technologies such as Wi-Fi, HTTPS, SSL, TCP/IP, MQTT, or FTP.
