Coater Mechanic (Manufacturing)

Location: Savage, Minnesota, United States. On-site work on a 6 PM–6 AM night shift under a 2-2-3 schedule.

Starting pay: $35.53 per hour, plus a $1.00 night-shift differential and overtime opportunities.

What you will do

• Adjust, repair, lubricate, and maintain departmental equipment and can line machinery.
• Set up machinery and perform scheduled changeovers.
• Inspect products, perform quality checks, document results, and report defects.
• Reject materials that do not meet specifications and provide required samples.
• Occasionally operate a forklift and follow all workplace safety rules.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as an industrial mechanic in a manufacturing environment, or a comparable production background.
• High school diploma or equivalent; journeyman mechanic experience is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings and use measuring hand tools to set up and maintain machinery.
• Critical thinking, multitasking, basic computer skills, and the ability to work with little supervision.
• Ability to work at heights using steps and ladders and perform physically demanding work for shifts of up to 12 hours.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and repeatedly push or pull hand tools.

• Lift truck driver’s certification.
