Coating Litho Engineer (Metal Packaging)

Location: Hazleton, Pennsylvania, with support for plants in Evansville and Richmond, Indiana; travel up to 50% required

Salary: $90,000–$100,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership and engineering support for coil cutting, sheet coating, lithography, oven curing, oxidizers, and heat recovery systems.
• Lead process improvements to increase quality, safety, and production efficiency.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and identify root causes of operational issues.
• Lead equipment installations, audits, overhauls, and qualification activities.
• Collaborate with plant teams and OEM suppliers on new products and manufacturing solutions.
• Train operators, supervisors, and maintenance personnel on equipment setup, operation, and safety requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field; significant relevant experience may substitute for the degree.
• Experience in can manufacturing, coil coating, lithography, metal packaging, or coating operations.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and experience with manufacturing equipment and process optimization.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and use precision measuring tools.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Working knowledge of coatings, solvents, oven systems, oxidizers, heat recovery systems, LEL detectors, and safety practices including LOTO, machine guarding, and confined space procedures.
