TL;DR
Project Manager – Senior (Federal Website Modernization): Leading end-to-end delivery of a secure, accessible, cloud-hosted federal website platform from discovery and design through migration, testing, go-live, and sustainment with an accent on schedule, risk, quality, and compliance. Focus on coordinating RMF/ATO accreditation, Section 508 and WCAG remediation, subcontractors, and controlled production cutover.
Location: Remote / Hybrid; Washington, DC metro preferred. U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a federal background investigation are required.

What you will do
- Lead end-to-end delivery of a federal public-facing website modernization and sustainment program.
- Own the master schedule, project plan, critical path, scope, staffing, dependencies, risks, and quality.
- Manage discovery, design approval, development, legacy content migration, user acceptance testing, and controlled production cutover.
- Serve as the primary client and stakeholder interface and provide weekly status reporting.
- Coordinate RMF/ATO security accreditation and Section 508, 21st Century IDEA, and WCAG compliance activities.
- Oversee subcontractors, vendors, cloud and web delivery partners, operations, service levels, security monitoring, training, and documentation.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of hands-on IT project management experience leading website development projects.
- Experience planning and delivering technically complex, deadline-driven projects while managing schedule, scope, and risk.
- Ability to lead technical delivery teams and subcontractors to defined milestones and quality standards.
- Strong strategic thinking, multitasking, conflict management, time management, oral communication, and written communication skills.
- Fluent English is required for speaking, reading, and writing, including briefing senior leaders.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a federal Public Trust / suitability investigation are required.
Nice to have
- Federal government project delivery experience and PMP or equivalent certification.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure Government or another FedRAMP-authorized cloud environment.
- WordPress or enterprise CMS delivery, Section 508, WCAG, and 21st Century IDEA compliance.
- RMF/ATO coordination, SSP, POA&M, ISSO and Authorizing Official collaboration, and FIPS-199 Moderate systems.
- AI or chatbot integration, legacy content migration, Microsoft Entra ID, fixed-price web builds, and independent test-provider management.
