Automation Engineer I (Motion Systems)

Salary: $80,850–$120,800 per year, depending on the geographic market.

What you will do

• Support the design, development, testing, and improvement of automation hardware, prototypes, and production solutions.
• Troubleshoot equipment, prototype, and production issues and help improve performance, reliability, manufacturability, and customer outcomes.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and operations teams.
• Create and maintain drawings, specifications, assembly instructions, test procedures, analysis reports, and design review materials.
• Own assigned tasks while supporting milestones and continuous improvement.
• Follow quality, occupational safety, and environmental requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Competence in motor technology and specifications.
• Familiarity with gain tuning and control filters, including evaluation of settling time and velocity ripple.
• Understanding of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, connector pinouts, cable color codes, and related documentation.
• Ability to program using structured text, C, C++, or Python.
