What you will do

• Lead the technical execution and engineering design of high-voltage transmission line projects up to 500kV in partnership with the project manager.
• Develop technical project execution plans, assign tasks, and provide guidance to project engineers, EITs, and CADD/design staff.
• Support technical scope, schedule, budget, risk, change management, proposals, and work breakdown structures.
• Perform quality checks and reviews of project deliverables in accordance with hirify.global quality management procedures.
• Develop client relationships and help grow the Transmission practice through business development.
• Coordinate multiple projects and teams across different locations, while mentoring and supervising technical staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• At least 10 years of experience in transmission line engineering.
• Professional registration, license, or certification may be required based on the role; a PE license is preferred.
• Technical experience with transmission lines up to 500kV, including routing, environmental permitting, right-of-way acquisition, PLS-CADD modeling, structure and foundation design, procurement, specifications, and construction support.
• Experience with industry-standard design software, strong communication and listening skills, and the ability to manage multiple assignments.
• Leadership, organizational, problem-solving, collaboration, and independent working skills are required.

Nice to have

• Distribution line design or steel lattice tower modeling and design experience.
• Experience growing a Transmission practice and developing client relationships.
• Previous consulting firm experience.
• Experience working with diverse regional, departmental, technical, and project teams.
• Availability for occasional travel.
