Innovation Attorney - Regulatory (AI)

Location: Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Working hours may need to align with global teams and business partners.

Annualized salary range: $160,000–$250,000 for New York and Washington, DC; compensation depends on experience, market data, job location, and other factors.

What you will do

• Partner with regulatory practice groups to improve legal-service delivery through generative AI and other technology.
• Apply tailored technology solutions to specific legal matters and replicate successful workflows across teams.
• Configure legal technology platforms, including templates and custom workflows.
• Identify opportunities to enhance technology solutions and coordinate related investments and projects.
• Support client AI collaborations by onboarding client teams, developing shared workflows, and addressing legal-tech, security, and ethical-use questions.
• Drive technology adoption, monitor industry trends, and collaborate with vendors and internal business and technology teams.

Requirements

• JD or equivalent degree and admission to the relevant state bar.
• At least two years of experience practicing law in a law firm or working in legal operations, including regulatory experience.
• Proficiency with technology, legal technology, artificial intelligence, and Microsoft Office products.
• Experience with strategic legal-technology projects, business analysis, solution design, consulting, or client-facing work.
• Ability to use design thinking, implement projects end-to-end, and explain technical concepts in clear, non-technical language.
• Strong customer service, problem-solving, communication, organization, and multitasking skills.

Nice to have

• Experience evaluating and implementing legal-tech solutions in a large law firm, corporate legal department, financial institution, or enterprise environment.
• Knowledge of the regulatory legal-matter lifecycle.
• Experience increasing adoption of legal-tech tools and enabling lawyers to use them effectively.
