Legal Technology & AI Attorney – Business Restructuring and Reorganization (AI)

Location: Based in any U.S. office; New York is preferred. Offices include Century City, Colorado, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, New York City, Orange County, Palo Alto, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C.

Annual compensation: $250,000–$290,000, depending on qualifications and operational considerations.

What you will do

• Identify opportunities to apply AI, automation, and emerging technologies to restructuring legal work.
• Evaluate, prototype, and implement AI-assisted tools, document automation solutions, and technology-enabled workflows.
• Participate in pilots involving AI-driven research, drafting, knowledge extraction, distressed debt, court filings, and credit analytics platforms.
• Develop and maintain knowledge management resources for chapter 11 cases, restructurings, workouts, financing, distressed asset sales, negotiations, and plans of reorganization.
• Review and update templates, forms, precedents, playbooks, guidance materials, and reference content.
• Train attorneys and staff, gather feedback, and support continuous improvement of knowledge products and technology adoption.

Requirements

• J.D., Bachelor of Laws, or equivalent, with strong academic credentials.
• Must be admitted to practice and in good standing in the state where based.
• At least 4 years of experience in restructuring legal practice; other relevant backgrounds may be considered case by case.
• Strong interest in AI and emerging technology, with the ability to apply these tools to legal practice and workflows.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
• Exceptional communication, collaboration, critical-thinking, organizational, and time-management skills.

Nice to have

• Personal or professional coding or technology-building experience is highly valued.
• Experience with workflow design, tool development, or process improvement.
