Sr. Software Engineer (Java/SpringBoot/AWS)

Location: San Francisco, United States; hybrid work model. Candidates must independently be eligible to work in the United States for any employer at the date of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Base pay: $142,000–$183,000 USD per year in San Francisco, plus discretionary incentive eligibility and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, develop, document, test, debug, support, and maintain software applications.
• Drive requirements analysis, technical design, specifications, and the full software development lifecycle.
• Serve as a technical expert, lead software design meetings, and evaluate technologies for implementation.
• Analyze user needs, prototype solutions, and troubleshoot errors across application tiers.
• Prepare and execute unit, functional, load, performance, regression, and integration testing.
• Support UAT and production applications, collaborate in Agile environments, and mentor Software Engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or 5+ years of related industry experience.
• 5+ years of programming experience with Java, C#, C++, or Objective-C; Java is relevant to this position.
• AWS Cloud experience and experience with SOAP or REST services.
• SQL or PL/SQL, relational databases, source control, and common data formats such as XML, JSON, and YAML.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as Redis, HBASE, or AeroSpike.
• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks, test planning, secure programming, distributed systems, Agile methods, and software support.

Nice to have

• FinTech or payments experience.
• Experience with reporting tools such as Crystal Reports, Jasper Reports, or BIRT.
• UML experience and advanced QA/QC knowledge or certifications.
