What you will do

  • Develop reliable and capable manufacturing processes for advanced acoustic, satellite and propulsion, aerospace interiors, and defense materials.
  • Lead cross-functional problem solving using 8-D, causal mapping, 9P, DMAIC, and design of experiments.
  • Develop and execute out-of-control action plans, perform root cause analysis, and correct material and equipment process deviations.
  • Define and deliver continuous improvement objectives that improve material performance, cost, yield, and product velocity.
  • Co-author process control documents and material specifications, including key process characteristics, parameters, and controls.
  • Collaborate with quality, operations, maintenance, research and technology, product management, and supply chain on safety, customer satisfaction, and new product introduction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field; materials, chemical, mechanical, aerospace, or industrial engineering preferred.
  • 4+ years of directly related engineering experience; aerospace experience is desirable.
  • Working knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies; Six Sigma certification is preferred.
  • Proficiency with statistical software and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong organization skills and the ability to manage competing priorities, interruptions, and multiple projects.
  • Must meet the stated U.S. citizenship, residency, refugee, or asylum eligibility requirements.
