Location: Onsite at the Production and Test facility north of Cedar Park in Briggs, Texas, United States

What you will do
- Develop and maintain quality plans, inspection plans, equipment, training, and standard work instructions for launch vehicle and spacecraft components and sub-assemblies.
- Partner with design engineering and manufacturing teams on product development, production, first article inspections, testing, and manufacturability.
- Ensure product acceptance activities meet customer requirements, regulatory standards, and mission requirements.
- Identify, document, contain, and disposition non-conforming products; lead root cause investigations and corrective actions.
- Track first-pass yield and non-conformance data, perform basic statistical analysis, and execute process improvements to reduce the Cost of Poor Quality.
- Lead and support Quality Inspectors, maintain tool control and calibration processes, and perform product and process audits.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing, quality, and/or design engineering.
- Ability to interpret technical information, drawings, specifications, GD&T, and quality control documentation.
- Experience with aerospace quality, military, or government standards.
- Strong written and verbal communication, organization, teamwork, and workflow flexibility.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain the authorizations required under ITAR.
Nice to have
- Experience with aerospace quality assurance principles, inspection techniques, and quality control equipment.
- Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes, materials, structures and composites, electrical/avionics, and fluids/propulsion.
- Experience with AS9100 or ISO 9001, Lean, MSA, DOE, SPC, APQP, PFMEA, control plans, metrology, and corrective action methods.
- ASQ CQE certification.
