Biotechnologist (Gene - Plasmid)

Location: Singapore; onsite laboratory role with 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week and 2 rest days that may not fall on weekends

What you will do

• Maintain laboratory equipment, order supplies, and keep the work environment clean and orderly.
• Follow laboratory safety guidelines and standard operating procedures.
• Perform plasmid extraction experiments, positive colony screening, and sequencing.
• Resolve technical challenges involving process optimization, equipment troubleshooting, and production anomalies.
• Track and analyze On-Time Delivery and other operational KPIs to identify improvement opportunities.
• Support continuous process improvement across gene synthesis and plasmid production workflows.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or above in bioengineering, pharmaceutical engineering, molecular biology, or a related field.
• Knowledge of gene synthesis, plasmid extraction, sequencing, and related production workflows.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, professional gene synthesis software, and data analysis.
• Technical problem-solving, organizational, coordination, communication, and execution skills.
• Ability to handle unexpected events and work under pressure.
• Availability for 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week, with 2 rest days that may not always fall on weekends.
