Lab Specialist (Genomics)

What you will do

• Maintain laboratory organization, cleanliness, communal stock, cold storage, and access procedures.
• Manage laboratory equipment and supplies, including reagent and disposable inventory.
• Coordinate equipment calibration and maintenance and keep related records current.
• Track, order, and receive reagents and consumables such as chemicals, enzymes, buffers, pipette tips, and reagent tubes.
• Support Environment, Health & Safety and Facilities activities, including risk assessments, safety inspections, equipment moves, and space planning.
• Provide laboratory support for AMEA projects and collaborate with Commercial, Service, and other departments.

Requirements

• Experience working in or supervising a wet lab with equipment such as liquid-handling robots, safety cabinets, compressed gases, centrifuges, and PCR machines.
• Hands-on experience with hirify.global library preparation, sequencing, and/or microarray products.
• PhD or MSc in Genetics or Molecular Biology with 2+ years of wet-lab experience, or a Bachelor of Science with 4+ years of wet-lab experience.
• Ability to conduct experiments from planning through data generation and analysis.
• Detail-oriented, organized, adaptable, and able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, teamwork, interpersonal, and customer-service skills, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
