Chemical Operator

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States of America; onsite

Salary: $43,600–$63,943 per year, plus discretionary bonuses

What you will do

• Operate reactors, work tanks, heat exchangers, homogenizers, pumps, valves, forklifts, and chemical distribution systems.
• Execute production plans while meeting quality, safety, productivity, and ISO 9001 standards.
• Operate DeltaV and other process control systems and perform SAP transactions, inventory movements, and cycle counts.
• Conduct in-process and finished-product testing, including pH and halogen analysis.
• Assist engineers and scientists with laboratory tasks, sample processing, equipment maintenance, data recording, and reporting.
• Maintain accurate EHS&S documentation, complete permits, participate in safety programs, and report incidents.

Requirements

• Manufacturing experience and experience operating process equipment such as vessels, valves, PLCs, and flowmeters.
• Ability to perform mechanical and process-related operations independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organization, attention to detail, and teamwork.
• Ability to climb stairs regularly, lift up to 50 pounds, wear a respirator and required PPE, and work shifts of up to 12 hours.
• Flexibility to work multiple shifts as needed.

Nice to have

• Forklift and hoist operation experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SAP, and DeltaV systems.
