NewsNation Social Media Producer (AI)

Location: In-office in Chicago or New York, United States; early morning, late night, and/or weekend shifts may be required.

Salary: $60,000–$65,000 per year.

What you will do

• Pitch, develop, and produce social media content for NewsNation.
• Manage the YouTube channel and social channels, reaching millions of followers.
• Develop multimedia news stories with editors, writers, and reporters.
• Use analytics to evaluate content performance and improve publishing tactics.
• Use AI and emerging technologies to produce content and engage audiences.
• Monitor emerging stories and trends, and train staff on social media best practices and tools.

Requirements

• Create social content ranging from graphics to video for large brands or media outlets.
• Demonstrate strong writing skills and maintain a consistent brand voice.
• Apply sound editorial judgment when selecting and adapting content for different platforms.
• Edit video and photos quickly in high-pressure situations.
• Use data and analytics to make content decisions and collaborate effectively.
• Work in the office in Chicago or New York and accommodate early morning, late night, and/or weekend shifts when required.

Nice to have

• Expertise with YouTube thumbnail and title best practices.
• Experience with Adobe Premiere and Photoshop.
• Journalism or news background.
• Experience producing for or directing on-camera talent.
