Content Associate, Animal Care (AI)

Location: Cranbury, New Jersey, United States; hybrid work schedule

Salary: $50,000–$70,000 per year, depending on qualifications. Eligible for an annual bonus program or commission incentive based on the role.

What you will do

• Use AI tools and editorial prompts to summarize and quality-check clinical data readouts, breaking news, and multimedia transcripts.
• Edit, tag, template, format, and publish content through CMS, video hosting, and social platforms.
• Cut, caption, and resize video clips for web and social distribution.
• Draft social captions, headlines, and newsletters from content briefs and finished articles.
• Monitor news feeds, journal sites, and congress updates to identify emerging animal-care stories.
• Perform quality control, first-pass manuscript editing, print layout preparation, and metadata optimization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, English, Media Production, or a related field preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in digital publishing, media production, or content operations.
• Proficiency with AI content tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or Copilot and CMS publishing platforms.
• Working knowledge of video editing tools such as iMovie, Adobe Premiere, Canva, Vizard, or CapCut.
• Strong writing, grammar, editing, organization, and deadline-management skills.
• Basic understanding of SEO, AEO, metadata, and content analytics.

Nice to have

• Experience or familiarity with animal care, health care, science, medical writing, or professional publishing.
• Knowledge of AMA style.
