Multi-Media Journalist (Spanish-English)

Location: Full-time on-site work in Centennial, Colorado, United States

Salary: $65,000–$75,000 per year, based on experience

What you will do

• Develop original general assignment, breaking news, enterprise, and follow-up stories for broadcast, streaming, web, mobile, and social platforms.
• Own the full reporting process from pitching and researching to interviewing, writing, shooting, editing, producing, publishing, and presenting stories.
• Conduct interviews in Spanish and English, translate information accurately, and use public records, data, documents, and source development to verify and deepen coverage.
• Shoot, edit, and deliver live reports, packages, updates, and unscripted coverage under tight deadlines.
• Create digital-first and social-first content, including short-form video, explainers, reporter updates, headlines, and streaming content.
• Collaborate with producers, assignment desk staff, digital teams, newsroom leadership, and Colorado communities while maintaining editorial standards.

Requirements

• Fluency in Spanish and English with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
• BS/BA in Journalism or Communications.
• At least 2 years of reporting experience in a top 50 market.
• At least 1 year of experience shooting with an HD camera and working with film or video lighting.
• Working knowledge of I-news, Stratus, Avid, Edius, or Final Cut Pro, plus Microsoft Office and internet tools.
• Unrestricted US work authorization, willingness to work in Centennial, a valid driver’s license, and an excellent driving record are required.
