What you will do

• Procure major and critical production commodities and materials, including preparing quotation requests and negotiating terms and pricing.
• Conduct supplier surveillance, audits, source surveys, readiness reviews, procurement review boards, and supplier qualification activities.
• Troubleshoot supplier problems and lead resolution efforts with internal and external stakeholders.
• Establish long-term supply subcontracts and maintain organized purchase order documentation.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate procurement activities with production planning.
• Use MRP systems and collaborate cross-functionally to resolve supply chain issues.

Requirements

• BS or BA degree.
• Computer proficiency, including above-average MS Excel skills and general proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems; Microsoft AX experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, interpersonal, problem-solving, and supplier relationship skills.
• Ability to interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, and calculate figures using basic algebra and geometry.
• Must be a United States citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of ITAR, FAR, DFARS, and DPAS provisions and clauses.
• Experience in ISO 9001 or AS9100 environments.
• APICS certification and Lean Manufacturing knowledge.
