Sr. Buyer

Location: Rochester Innovation Center, United States; onsite, full-time

Salary: $72,000–$112,500 per year

What you will do

• Place purchase orders for materials supporting manufacturing and other business functions.
• Partner with manufacturing to understand build schedules, manage supply chain activities, and prevent downtime.
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure accurate, on-time delivery and manage delivery date changes.
• Manage supplier relationships, performance feedback, sourcing decisions, and commercial terms.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve quality and payment issues.
• Mentor purchasing staff and train new team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, plus five or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination.
• Experience in a technology manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, project management, multitasking, and follow-through skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• High standards of professionalism, ethics, quality, self-motivation, and accountability.
