Buyer (Manufacturing)

Location: Beverly, Massachusetts, United States (Hybrid); minimal travel required, less than 10%

Salary: $52,940.40–$79,410.60 U.S. base salary per year, plus eligibility for a team incentive bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Review purchase requisitions and coordinate purchasing activities with manufacturing, planning, and engineering teams.
• Process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, order changes, and supplier requests for quotations.
• Maintain procurement system data, including bills of material, part numbers, commodity information, supplier records, and quote tables.
• Perform cost analysis and volume planning for assigned commodities, materials, components, equipment, and services.
• Evaluate suppliers, develop new supply sources, and recommend make-versus-buy and alternative sourcing strategies.
• Work with suppliers and Quality Assurance to resolve quality, delivery, and performance issues while supporting commodity management plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, operations management, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1–2 years of professional experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, supply chain, or a related business function preferred.
• Experience with ERP, MRP, or supply chain management systems preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with suppliers and supporting manufacturing operations preferred.
