Associate Chemist (Environment Testing - PFAS Prep)

Location: Lancaster, PA, USA; onsite, 2nd shift from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., Sunday through Thursday. Training is Monday through Friday on the 1st shift.

Salary: USD 18–19.80 per hour, including a 10% shift differential.

What you will do

• Prepare and analyze environmental samples from various matrices using routine analytical methods.
• Prepare samples, standards, reagents, and quality-control materials.
• Review, process, and assemble supporting data for laboratory work.
• Follow EPA, company, client, agency, and internal QC standard operating procedures.
• Perform basic maintenance on routine laboratory equipment and dispose of chemical waste using approved methods.
• Work safely, maintain attendance and punctuality, and work overtime when workload requires.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
• Computer proficiency, including word-processing and spreadsheet programs.
• Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.
• Professional working proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
• Ability to follow laboratory procedures and applicable GMP/GLP requirements.

Nice to have

• Previous sample-preparation experience.
• Previous experience in a laboratory setting.
