Aluminum Fabricator 1st Shift (Manufacturing)

Location: Knoxville, TN, United States; onsite in a manufacturing environment

Salary: $22.89–$26.03 per hour, starting at $22.89 with regular increases up to $26.03

What you will do

• Prioritize departmental workflow according to production requirements and work-center priorities in SAP or MII.
• Read drawings, SOPs, standard work instructions, and blueprints for part installation and caulk application.
• Operate and perform basic troubleshooting on assigned equipment, including press brakes, CNC, laser, punch, saw, automation, waterjet, and spinner systems.
• Complete tooling changeovers, operator-level cleaning and maintenance, and physical material movements.
• Support production, quality, safety, 5S, lean, and process improvement goals.
• Cross-train within the department and help train new production team members when assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred; at least 18 years old.
• At least 12 months of prior manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings and use measuring devices.
• Advanced ability to use basic, pneumatic, and power tools, with proficient math, reading, computer, communication, and time-management skills.
• Ability to safely operate assigned equipment, including overhead lifting devices and forklifts, and understand automated-system safety protocols.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods, perform repetitive handling and physical movements, and regularly lift, carry, or position objects up to 50 pounds; pre-employment drug screening and background check may be required.
