A&P Mechanic IV - Deploy Only (Aerospace)

Location: Shalimar, Florida, United States; requires frequent travel and extended OCONUS deployment on an approximate 60/60 rotation.

What you will do

• Supervise aircraft maintenance crews and related projects.
• Oversee major aircraft overhauls, inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with regulatory, safety, DoD, and Combatant Command standards.
• Develop maintenance protocols and maintain complete documentation and reporting.
• Conduct training and development sessions for junior mechanics.
• Coordinate with other departments and travel frequently to customer and deployed operating locations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of relevant experience; a higher-level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• Active, current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification with no prior FAA violations.
• Advanced experience repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting aircraft airframes and engines.
• Ability to interpret technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and publications.
• Ability to deploy internationally for extended periods, meet DoD and Combatant Command requirements, pass a pre-deployment medical assessment, and work an approximate 60/60 OCONUS rotation.
• Current valid passport, ability to obtain an international travel visa, and eligibility under U.S. Government international trade regulations, including U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, protected-individual status, or required authorization.

Nice to have

• Associate's degree in Aviation Maintenance or a related field.
• Leadership and management experience, aircraft model expertise, and FAA repair station or quality assurance experience.
• Familiarity with FAR/DFARS and experience in aerospace and defense, the U.S. Department of Defense, or the U.S. military.
