Staff Software Engineer (Salesforce)

Location: Hybrid in Scottsdale, San Francisco, Chicago, or New York; candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.

Salary: $145,000–$186,000 per year in Phoenix, AZ, plus discretionary incentive eligibility and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, validate, and deploy complex solutions on the Salesforce platform.
• Act as the technical subject matter expert for Salesforce and related programs, projects, and solutions.
• Define and maintain standards and best practices for Salesforce engineering and enterprise technology alignment.
• Coordinate with functional teams to deliver solutions that meet functional, performance, quality, and security requirements.
• Lead complex platform engineering work and create a forward-looking Salesforce roadmap.
• Represent Salesforce engineering, build consensus, and support risk management and data protection.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of software engineering or similar experience, including 5 years of hands-on end-to-end Salesforce implementation, integration, and enhancement work.
• Extensive experience with Salesforce Classic and Lightning, Aura, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, Apex, workflows, validation rules, custom objects, and formulas.
• Multiple Salesforce certifications, such as Platform App Builder, Platform Developer I/II, Administrator, Advanced Administrator, or Technical Architect.
• Experience across Salesforce Clouds; Sales, Service, and Experience Clouds are highly desired.
• Background and drug screening required; U.S. work authorization must already be held, and visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with GitLab, Harness, JFrog Artifactory, and test automation tools.
• Experience with data backup, recovery, and sandbox seeding solutions.
• Experience with Java, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Salesforce APIs, REST, SOAP, and Community sites.
• Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and other SDLC methodologies.
