Area Manager - Inbound Operations

Location: Brownsburg, Indiana, United States; on-site. Occasional travel is required. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future. Relocation is available.

Salary: $73,600–$106,200 annually, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day inbound operations and execute short- and long-range objectives for the department.
• Manage performance across safety, delivery, quality, cost, capacity, and continuous improvement.
• Lead approximately 150 hourly and 5 salaried employees across a multi-shift operation.
• Develop supervisors, training plans, cross-training programs, performance reviews, and internal talent pipelines.
• Manage staffing, overtime, expense budgets, capital projects, and distribution and packaging equipment.
• Coordinate with site leadership, planning, sister plants, and vendors to resolve operational issues and meet forecasted schedules.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in manufacturing or distribution, including at least 3 years of supervisory experience in a distribution center or closely related operation.
• Experience leading salaried and hourly teams across multiple shifts.
• Strong cross-functional leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of ISO requirements and experience with WMS or ERP systems; Manhattan Associates WMA experience is preferred.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Microsoft Access, Power BI, and related analytics tools.
• Experience with WMS software, including WM.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
