What you will do
- Provide technical expertise on military aircraft hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, flight-control, structural, and mass-properties systems.
- Design, develop, integrate, test, and evaluate aircraft hardware, modifications, repairs, and advanced technologies.
- Support Special Mission C-130 aircraft on the PDM/Mod line, including depot maintenance, troubleshooting, structural repairs, and corrosion disposition.
- Perform airworthiness, loads, stress, weight-and-balance, reliability, and systems-integration analyses.
- Coordinate technical reviews, configuration boards, certification and clearance activities, test planning, and work across integrated product teams.
- Develop and execute aircraft integrity, OSS&E, sustainment, corrosion-prevention, and DMSMS programs.
Requirements
- Active or current Secret security clearance or higher, verifiable in DISS.
- ABET-accredited engineering degree: a master's or doctorate with 10 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in DoD or USG ISR/SOF organizations; or a bachelor's degree with 20 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in DoD or USG ISR/SOF organizations.
- At least two years of experience designing, developing, and integrating aircraft hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems, plus two years overseeing engineering projects.
- Significant aircraft depot-level maintenance or MRO experience, including Air Force Technical Orders and heavy-aircraft maintenance and modifications.
- Experience with airworthiness, loads, stress, and weight-and-balance analysis supporting systems integration.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the PDM/Mod line, including crawling through aircraft areas and confined spaces, using stands, scaffolding, and potentially fall-restraint equipment.
