Contract Services provides aircraft maintenance and nondestructive inspection services for government and Department of Defense aviation programs.
What you will do
- Inspect aerospace weapon system components, aircraft structures, systems, and support equipment for structural integrity.
- Select and perform appropriate nondestructive inspection methods, including penetrant, eddy current, magnetic particle, radiographic, optical, and ultrasonic testing.
- Interpret inspection results and determine metallurgical information such as alloy, temper, and conductivity.
- Operate, maintain, and inspect NDI equipment, oil analysis equipment, aircraft support equipment, tools, and shop equipment.
- Document maintenance actions, equipment records, inspection results, and quality assurance information in automated maintenance systems.
- Assist with aircraft structural, mechanical, and electrical maintenance; perform FOD walks, tool control, hazardous-material handling, and possible Designated System Inspector duties.
Requirements
- 8+ years of aircraft maintenance NDT experience with fixed-wing commercial, government, or DoD aircraft.
- NAS410 Level II certification or prior Air Force Specialty Code 2A752 required; AFSC 2A772 is highly desirable.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience supporting DoD contracts.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
- Knowledge of NDI methods and equipment, metal characteristics, flaw detection, oil analysis, technical orders, safety codes, and radiological safety procedures.
Nice to have
- C-130 experience.
- Advanced software application experience.
