Associate Chemist - Organic Extraction - 2nd Shift, M-F (Organic Extraction)

Location: Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA; onsite, 2nd shift Monday–Friday from 3:00pm to 11:30pm. Training follows the same schedule, except the first day starts at 8:45am.

Salary: $18–$20.90 per hour, including a 10% shift differential.

What you will do

• Prepare and analyze environmental samples using approved scientific methods and standard laboratory techniques.
• Focus on organic preparation and extraction while learning applicable analytical disciplines.
• Evaluate, quantify, record, and report test data and unusual occurrences.
• Complete scheduled QC samples, document quality issues, and maintain accurate training records.
• Perform routine instrument maintenance, manage laboratory supplies and glassware, and maintain an orderly work area.
• Follow health, safety, quality assurance, and standard operating procedures.

Requirements

• BS or BA in Chemistry or a related field, an Associate Degree, or two years of related laboratory experience in lieu of a degree.
• Professional working proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking, is required.
• Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship is required.
• Ability to work with organic solvents, laboratory glassware, specialized equipment, and standing for extended periods.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, organizational, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow written or verbal instructions and complete accurate work within established timelines.

Nice to have

• Experience with PFAS, LC/MS, sample preparation, laboratory work, or production environments.
