Data Scientist III, Operations Research

Salary: $101,900–$137,600 annual

What you will do

• Develop mathematical optimization models, including linear programming and mixed-integer linear programming, based on business objectives and constraints.
• Design and implement optimization solutions using Gurobi or comparable solver technologies.
• Assess requirements, data, and operational constraints to select modeling approaches and evaluate results through scenario testing, sensitivity analysis, and validation.
• Integrate optimization outputs into production workflows and business processes across pricing, inventory, supply chain, and marketing.
• Build and maintain data pipelines that support large-scale modeling workflows, data quality, availability, and reliability.
• Write scalable Python and SQL code, monitor model performance, resolve routine issues, and communicate recommendations to business and cross-functional partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• 1–4 years of relevant experience in Operations Research, optimization, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with Gurobi or similar solvers such as CPLEX or OR-Tools.
• Experience building and deploying large-scale mathematical models, including LP and MILP, in production environments.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, including scalable and maintainable code, data pipelines, feature engineering, and data validation.
• Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
