What you will do
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance independently.
- Conduct inspections, diagnose mechanical issues, and document findings.
- Assist senior mechanics with complex repairs and troubleshooting.
- Ensure maintenance complies with FAA regulations, company standards, and safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed maintenance records and support work in office and field environments.
- Travel frequently to customer locations and support possible overseas deployments.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of relevant experience; a higher-level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- Active, current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification with no prior FAA violations.
- Ability to pass written, oral, and practical assessments.
- Current Secret U.S. security clearance is required; U.S. citizenship is required for employment.
- Ability to meet DoD and Combatant Command deployment requirements, pass a pre-deployment medical assessment, and obtain a valid passport and international travel visa.
- Willingness to work extended hours, holidays, shifts, overtime, and weekends as required. Reliable transportation and the ability to read technical manuals, schematics, diagrams, and blueprints are also required.
Nice to have
- Associate's degree in Aviation Maintenance or a related field.
- Experience with specific aircraft models, FAA repair stations, or quality assurance.
- Familiarity with FAR/DFARS and experience in aerospace, defense, the U.S. Department of Defense, or the U.S. military.
