Workday Accounting Center Lead - AMS

Base salary: $135,000–$165,000 annually. Total estimated compensation including annual incentive compensation: $162,000–$198,000 annually.

What you will do

• Lead ongoing Application Managed Services delivery for clients using Workday Accounting Center and related Workday Financials modules.
• Own Accounting Center configuration, accounting event setup, journal generation, reconciliation, and downstream General Ledger integrations.
• Analyze accounting and business requirements, produce functional specifications, and translate source transactions and accounting rules into scalable configurations.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues, support testing, manage release impacts, and deliver enhancements and optimization.
• Partner with clients, finance stakeholders, and internal delivery teams to maintain accurate, compliant, and audit-ready accounting solutions.
• Support team leadership, mentoring, work reviews, and knowledge transfer within the AMS model.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience implementing or supporting Workday Accounting Center within Workday Financials, including hands-on configuration ownership in production or post-production AMS environments.
• Functional subject matter expertise in accounting events, journal generation, reconciliation, downstream General Ledger integration, and financial accounting processes.
• Hands-on Workday Prism Analytics experience covering data ingestion, modeling, reporting, and analytics.
• 3–5 years of experience analyzing requirements, writing functional specifications, supporting testing, troubleshooting production issues, and working directly with clients and finance stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• No travel is required unless requested by the client.

Nice to have

• Active Workday Certification, preferably in Workday Financial Management or Accounting Center.
• Experience with AMS, PPS, managed services, or Tier 3 support environments.
• Experience supporting integrations and cross-module dependencies across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll Accounting, and Projects.
• Workday reporting, PRISM-enabled dashboards, reconciliation reporting, audit support, and advanced Excel proficiency.
